Show Venis Coltharp interred in Vernal Cemetery Final rites for Venis Coltharp, 58, were held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Naples Ward Chapel. Bishop Kristen V. Wilson officiated and read the obituary. Family prayer was by Glen Christensen. Norleen Merrell played the prelude and postlude music. The opening song was. "That Wonderful Mother of Mine" by Don Walker and Marve Lent accompanied by Ruth Walker. Rex Smuin offered the invocation. in-vocation. Other songs were "Whispering Hope" by Mac Holmes, Verdin Goodrich, Philip Manwaring and Norman Haslem accompanied by Mrs. Merrell, and, "In the Garden," by Don Walker and Marva Lent. Clyde Anderson was the speaker. Benediction was by Hyrum Slaugh. Interment was in the Vernal Memorial Park under the direction of the Vernal Mortuary. Dedication of the grave was by Larry Smuin Pallbearers were, Wayne, Larry and Darris Smuin; Ed Corless Kermit and Jeff Brimhall. Floral tributes were taken care of by the Naples 2nd Ward Relief Society. Venis Myrl Smuin Coltharp died September 8, 1979 near Mesa, Arizona in an auto accident; born July 28, 1921 in Vernal to Hyrum "Hy" Smuin and Idella Slaugh Smuin; married Gerald Archie Coltharp, July 26, 1939 in Vernal; Ver-nal; marriage solomnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple; was a homemaker i i r ti t ro ru,,nu anu rneiiiiei ui me iiuiv.h. Survivors two sons, one daughter, Roger LeRoy Coltharp, Vernon Gerald Coltharp both of Vernal; Mrs. Glenn (Raema) Christensen, Salt Lake City; ten grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Wayne, Larry D, Darris, Mrs. Wilma Williamson, Mrs. Ed (Erma) Corless, Mrs. Bert (Lela) Greenhow; Mrs. Francis (Enid) Wallace all of Vernal; Mrs. Kermit (Nayon) Brimhall of West Point, Utah. |
