'-. .V.-' ? f -..' - 4 t " I Newlyweds Make Home In Salt Lake City Now at home in the Capitol Hill apartments, Salt Lake City, are newlyweds Mr. and Mrs.' Max B. Green. Mrs. Green is the firmer Merle Flecher, daughter of Mrs. Mae , Fletcher, and Mr. Green is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Green, Salt Lake City. The couple was married June 20, in the beautiful Military Way home of Mr. and Mrs. Shirley P. Jones, Salt Lake City. Bishop Oliver Dalton performed the double-ring ceremony. Flower, Girl Vicky Jill Greenwood, Green-wood, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. Morgan Greenwood, led the wedding wed-ding march down the stairs and into the spacious living room of the home, which was beautifully decorated with gladiolus floral arrangements. ar-rangements. Mrs. E. Morgan Greenwood and Mrs. Floyd Holley followed as attending matrons, and Mrs. Carl T. Griffith as matron mat-ron of honor. The bride was accompanied ac-companied by her brother, Reed Fletcher of this city. Gowned in a lovely white dress of heavy satin which was appli-qued appli-qued onto a sheer white yoke. The bride also wore a halo of stephanotis stepha-notis and shirred carnations which crowned a fingertip veil of bride's illusion. Her bouquet was artistically artisti-cally designed of gardenias and stephanotis. The bride's attendants wore fitted fit-ted gowns of gold crepe and carried car-ried sheafs of white gladiolus; and the matron of honor wore a blue crepe dress and carried a sheaf of flame gladiolus. I Immediately following the wed-! wed-! ding, a reception was held which ' was attended by many friends and j relatives from Springville, Salt i Lake City, and other parts of the ! country. Mrs. Quentin Fletcher, her son David, and Mrs. Strudor, a former WAC companion of the bride's, came from San Francisco to attend the wedding. The matron of honor came from Eugene, Oreg., to attend Mrs. Green. The Delta Theta Chi sorority of which the bride is a member, served at the reception in the taper-lighted dining room. The bride and groom joined in cutting the tiered wedding cake. Music was furnished by a string ensemble. ensem-ble. Following the reception, the couple left for a few days' honeymoon. honey-moon. The bride wore a going-away going-away suit of soft gray wool, with black accessories and a small black hat decorated with a large American Ameri-can Beauty red ribbon. She also wore her wedding present from her husband, a beautiful matching necklace and bracelet of amber. Mrs. Green attended the Brig-ham Brig-ham Young University for three years. She served during the war as a WAC in Virginia, New Guinea, Guin-ea, and the Philippine Islands. |
