Young Couple One of the social highlights of the season was the marriage mar-riage of Miss Norma Lunceford, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Orvil Lunceford of this city, and James D. Orton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold C. Orton of Provo. The young couple were married by President Anderson in the Manti Man-ti temple, June 5. Complimenting the bride and " groom, a wedding reception was given in the Springville First ward church which was attended by a large number of relatives and friends. The bride was beautiful in her bridal gown of white gorgette over heavy white satin. The front yoke was embroidered with white' braid and seed pearls. Her lace-trimmed, fingertip veil was caught to her bead by a crown of lovely seed Pearls. She carried a bouquet of white gardenias and pink rosebuds, tbe center being a lovely white orchid. Greeting the guests in the recep-fion recep-fion line were the parents of the bride and groom, Mr. and Mrs. Orvil Lunceford and Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Orton. Mrs. Lunceford was gowned in a lovely rose silk formal, while Mrs. Orton wore a Sown of powder-blue. The bride chose for her maid of honor, Mrs. h'an Anderson, who wore a gown of Pink marquisette. Acting as best "jan to the groom, was Clayton farnsworth of Enterprise, Utah. ; Bridesmaids were Miss Delia e Holmes, Miss Melba Smith, I ss Glenda Hunger, Mrs. Clyde J Jjjjwas and Mrs. David Richie, j . ree of these girls were gowned m pastel Pink, the other three in Pastel blue. The evening was concluded with dancing. On June seventh the young couple cou-ple left for a honeymoon at Lake Locota, Idaho, then on into Wyoming Wyom-ing and Montana, visiting Yellowstone Yellow-stone National Park. The bride is a graduate of the Springville High and L. D. S. seminary semi-nary For the past year she has been attending Brigham Young University. Mr. Orton is a veteran of World War II, serving two years m the Navy. He graduated from Enterprise Enter-prise high school and is now attending at-tending the B. Y. U.( where he plans to complete his education. |
