Show jHave Golden Wedding ... Mr. and Mrs. J. Milton Brown Former Residents to Celebrate 50th Wedding Date Sunday; Friends Invited was solomnized in the Salt Lake Temple in 1903. They are parents of four daughters: daugh-ters: Mrs. Lewis (Melva) Perry, Provo; Mrs. Lloyd (Verna) Bank-head, Bank-head, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Joe (Zillah) Kerby and Mrs. Alden (Lucile Noble) Miner of Provo. They have nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. A grandson, Paul M. Noble is now serving in the U. S. Navy. Assisting with the reception, besides be-sides the daughters and sons-in-law will be a niece and husband, Mr .and Mrs. James Peay. . The honored couple and their family are looking forward to greeting their many friends and relatives at the reception. An open house reception is being be-ing given Sunday, June 24, to honor hon-or Mr. and Mrs. J. Milton Brown on the occasion of their 50th wedding wed-ding anniversary and an invitation invita-tion is being given all Springville relatives and friends to attend. The reception will be held at their home, 344 West Third North in Provo from 2 until 6 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. Brown moved from Springville to Provo in 1937, having hav-ing spent their entire married life here until that date. Mr. Brown was born here July 9, 1877, a son of Thomas A. and Zillah Allan Brown. He is a retired re-tired engineer for the Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad. He has always been active in LDS church affairs and is a High Priest. He served as ward teacher both in Springville and in Provo and is a member of the Black Hawk committee. Mrs. Marilla Davis Brown was born in Provo, July 8, 1875, a daughter of Caleb Hershey and Hannah Strong Davis. She served as a counselor in Religion Class and as a counselor and president of Relief Society in Springville. She also served as captain of the DUP as president of the Flower Garden Club and as a visiting Relief Society Soc-iety teacher- before moving to Provo. She is still active in DUP and is a visiting teacher in the Provo Third Ward. They were married in Provo June 26, 1901 and the marriage |
