Show i Republican Ladies Conduct Meet An intereting talk by Jack Swenson of Spanish Fork, featured the monthly meeting of the newly organized Ladies Republican club of Springville last Wednesday afternoon af-ternoon at the home of Mrs. Blaine Thorpe. Mr. Swenson chose for his subject, sub-ject, "World Brotherhood or Else"," and he told of the danger which could befall the people of today unless they adopted a more brotherly broth-erly and peaceful method of living and called attention to the new and more deadly bomb, capable of destroying all civilization. The talk proved interesting and enjoyable to the large group of women assembled. Mrs. Catherine D. Wills also entertained during the meeting with vocal solos, accompanied ac-companied by Mrs. Mary Bird, and Roger Lambson gave vocal solos, accompanied by his mother, Mrs. Owen Lambson. The next meeting was announced announc-ed for Aug. 9, beginning at 2 p. m., at the home of Mrs. Catherine D. Wills, where a fine program will be given. |
