Show Soldier Writes Of Buddy's Death in Korea The war in Korea was brought closer home, to Mr. and Mrs. B. D. Moulton of this city, this week when they received a letter from their son, -Arlo L. Moulton, serving serv-ing with the 14th Infantry on the front lines in Korea. Part of his letter states: "One of the boys I sleep with was killed last night. His jeep was hit with a mortor. I saw it this morning on top of one of the hills. It was all shot to hell. The fellow with him is in the hospital and is not expected to live. "We got word about it last night at 4 o'clock. It was sure a surprise to me. , We did'nt expect anything to go wrong. He was on a special run down to division when it happened. I am just lucky. I took' a run yesterday morning down to the division and again this morning. Everything is fine with me. I will be getting CIB in 10 more days, this is for bein-under bein-under fire 30 days. I've been under for 20 now." |
