Show FUNERAL FOR J. H.ALLEMAN Funeral services were held in the Fourth ward chapel Sunday afternoon, June 15, for James II. Alleman, 72 years of age, prominent citizen and pioneer of Springville who died suddenly at his home last Tuesday of heart failure. He had just raised from a chair where he was sitting to walk across the room ; when lie fell over dead. Bishop G. R. Maycock was in charge. A ladies' quartett composed compos-ed of Helen Palfreyman, Margrie Parker, Inez Wheeler and Helen Salisbury sang the opening and closing numbers. Chauncy Childs gave a cello solo and Miss Melbn Condie a vocal solo. The speakers were .1. Wm. Knight of the Utah stake presidency, Bishop J. F. Iiringhurst and Bishop Maycock. The invocation was offered by Alva Zahriskie of the ward bishopric bishop-ric and the benediction, by Bishop G. S. Condie. Interment was in the Springville cemetery under the direction of A. Y. Wheeler, undertaker. The grave was dedicated by H. T. Reynolds. Mr. Alleman was born in Springville Spring-ville a month after the arrival of his parents from Lancaster county, Pennsylvania the year 1S52. He has resided in Springville since his birth and has been a prominent prom-inent farmer and stock grower. |
