Johnson, Sr., celebrated cele-brated his 89th birthday Sunday, Sun-day, with a family gathering at the Johnson home, 136 West Center St., with most of his sons and daughters and grandchildren grand-children in attendance to honor hon-or him on the occasion. A prominent church man throughout his life, Mr. Johnson John-son and his wife, Eva, also have done much temple work, especially during the past few years. He has held many positions po-sitions in the priesthood and auxiliary organizations. He is a talented musician and his fine voice has been Willis K. Jhnso, at family party Sunda, , " his eighty-ninth binu, in heard in many programs and entertainments. Much younger in appearance than his years, Mr. Johnson takes a keen interest in community com-munity events and national news. He still rides his bicycle and cares for one of the finest fin-est gardens in the area and enjoys attending church and socials. At the birthday party which featured a program and refreshments, re-freshments, were: Grant and Rachel Huff, Willis and Madge Johnson, Glen and Rachel Moulton of Heber; Elmer and Naomi Wiscombe of Mapleton; Harold and Pauline Johnson, Prank and Orpha Dee Johnson John-son of Mapleton and their families. Another son, Calvin Johnson and wife, Phyllis of Twin Falls, Idaho, were unable un-able to attend. Their daughter, Linda of Salt Lake City, represented rep-resented them. Anthony B. Calderone became be-came dizzy while driving home, pulled over to the side of the road, and fell asleep. When he awoke, someone had . taken his watch from his wrist, a lighter and his wallet wal-let from his pocket. |
