Show firs. Mary Marsh Honored On jist birthday "ring Mrs. Mary Marsh on . T occasion of her 71st birthday Sunday, a family reunion was held at Sulphur Springs in Hob-He Hob-He Creek canyon. The time was spent with a picnic pic-nic lunch and games, and a large group of family members were i attendance. ere were nine sons and daughters daugh-ters and their husbands and wives oresent, as follows: Mr. and Mrs. 5elle3 Jensen and Mrs. Hyrum ffinterton of Park City; Mr. and Mrs J. M. Chipman of Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Hartley Parker Park-er Mrs. Ray Bjarnson, Mr. and jlrs Clifton MarshMr. and Mrs. Wayne Beck, Mr. and Mrs. Tim Marsh, Mrs. Sadie Hutchings of 'springville and Mapleton. A sister, Mrs. Jeanette Smith, Rock Springs, Wyo., who was 72 years old on May 25, was also in attendance as was Mrs. Jane Parker of Fre-donia, Fre-donia, Ariz. There were also in attendance, thirty-five grandchildren grandchild-ren and seven great-grandhcild-ren. Mrs. Marsh has nine grand-: sons in the Armed Forces. MAPLETON 4-H CLUB ELECTS OFFICERS Organization of a Mapleton 4-H club under direction of Mrs. Grace Harmer is announced, the first meeting being held last Thursday, Thurs-day, when officers were elected. Maxine Warren was named as president; Shirley Harmer, vice-president; vice-president; Nadine Bills, secretary, Coleen Holley, reporter; RaNae Hopla, cheer leader; Marilyn Lar-sen Lar-sen and Janice Pulley, attendance committee members. Others attending at-tending the organization meeting were Jane Jensen, Margene Allan, Janet Wheeler and Joan Thorn. The meeting was concluded with the serviing of refreshments. THIRD YEAR 4-H CLUB MEETING The Third year 4-H club met at the home of their leader, Mrs. ; Mary Kelly, on Saturday, to organize. or-ganize. Joyce Park was chosen presi-', presi-', dent; Pauline Kelly, vice-presi,-j dent; Thelma Tuttle, secretary-I secretary-I reporter; Venice Larsen, choris- ter; Lou Brady, organist. The girls named the club, the I "Stitch and Save" club, and the second meeting was held at the home of Pauline Kelly on Friday ' afternoon. |
