Show URGES PARISHIONERS TO HASTEN MARRIAGE PITTSBURG, Feb. 23. The fact that there have been, but 169 baptisms and twenty-four marriages in 8t. Mary's Catholic church, in Forty-sixth street, during 1906, was the reason for the re- ! bnke administered to the parish by the Right Rev. Francis L. Tobin, vicar-general vicar-general of the Pittsburg diocese. The Rev. Father Tobin deplored the fact that there was a noticeable decrease de-crease in the number of both these ceremonies, cere-monies, agreeing in his remarks with the views of President Roosevelt on the subject of race suicide. St. Mary's is a big church, and in former years has been the scene of a large number of important marriages. |
