Three army ship piloted by officers offi-cers of the army air reserve corps and two commercial planes nosed up through the smoke which blanketed blan-keted the airport. Pilot were Major Ma-jor Ray T. Elsmore, Captain Harlan Montague, Lieutenant Lucian Powell, Pow-ell, Ben Rich Jr. and Vera Halli-day, Halli-day, airport manager.
