Show Uows Exchanged In Temple; Reception Held Nuptial vows were exchanged Friday, March 4, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple by Miss Carol Joy Sagers of Roosevelt, and Keith A. Lemon of Ioka, with EIRay L. Christiansen, president of the Temple, Tem-ple, performing the double-ring ceremony. After the ceremony the young couple and bridal party were honored hon-ored at a dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Sagers at Tooele. Attending the marriage ceremony in the Temple were Mr. and Mrs. John Reed Lemon of Ioka, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Russon of Roosevelt, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Jensen of Peoa, Utah, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Sagers of Tooele and Mrs. David Watkins of Roosevelt. Following a brief honeymoon trip, ' the justweds returned to Roosevelt to make their home for the present. They were complimented at a wedding reception and dance Friday Fri-day evening, March 11, in the Ioka ward chapel, where the bride welcomed "guests in her wedding gown of white slipper satin with sweetheart neckline and full bouffant bouf-fant skirt. It was fashioned with long sleeves, pointed at the wrist, and enhanced by the veil of bride's illusion, edged with French Chantilly lace and falling from a tiara of beaded pearls. Her bouquet bou-quet was of red roses, tied with long white satin streamers. Attending the bride were Mrs. Wayne Russon, who wore a formal for-mal gown of lime green net and taffeta; Miss Jeniel Smith, attired I in red taffeta and Miss Vay Lem-1 Lem-1 on, who chose a blue net and taffeta taf-feta formal. Each had a nosegay of pink and white carnations. Best man duties were assumed by Wayne Russon. The gift room was in charge of Mrs. Dorothy Stone and Miss Dawn 'Broderick and serving was under the direction of Mrs. R. V. Larson and Mrs. Omni Winterton. Dancing was enjoyed to Raw-ling's Raw-ling's orchestra and a program offered of-fered further entertainment, with Ralph Shields as master of ceremonies, cere-monies, announcing the folowing vocal solos, "Because" and "One Alone," by Garret Stone, accompanied accom-panied by Gertrude Russel; reading, read-ing, Marilyn Winterton; piano solo, Geniel Lemon; vocal solo; "Dreaming," "Dream-ing," by David C. Watkins. The new bride is employed in the music department at the Roosevelt Roos-evelt Elementary School. Mr. Lemon Lem-on expects to enter the U. S. armed service in the near future. |
