Show Mrs. Elon Taylor Feted At Price On 80th Birthday Mrs. Elon Taylor was feted at an open house celebration in honor of her 80th birthday anniversary an-niversary .at the home of her daughter and son-in-law Mr and Mrs. Claude J. Empey, at Price, Sunday, July 1. The event brought family members from near and far. Mrs. Taylor greeted over a hundred guests during the afternoon af-ternoon who called to extend congratulations. Preceding the open house was a delightful family dinner and a program given by Mrs. Taylor's Tay-lor's children and grandchildren, at the Towne cafe in Price. Additional Ad-ditional guests were Mrs. Mary Orser, of Roosevelt,' and Mrs." A. J. Lee. of Salt Lake City. Music during the open house was furnished by Mr. and Mrs. Lamar Empey and Miss Kay Mitchell. Mrs. Taylor's sister, Mrs. Ral-da Ral-da Taylor, who is 86 years of age, arrived for the affair from San Francisco, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. John Sellstrom. Another sister, Mrs. Effie Lee, a fprmer resident of Price, came from Salt Lake City. Others from out-of-town who were present for the affair included in-cluded Mrs. Mary Orser, longtime long-time friend from Roosevelt.: Mr. and Mrs. Roy Taylor, Mrs. Ona Wooley and Mr. and Mrs.' Reed Taylor, Vernal; Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Empey and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Lee; Provo; Mr. and Mrs. George Taylor. Roosevelt; Miss Kay Mitchell, Bountiful. Mrs. Frances Murphy, of Chicago', Chi-cago', was the only one of Mrs. Taylor's four children who was unable to be present. |
