Show My labors at this" plate commenced commenc-ed the thirti day after my arrival in the mission field where I remained until my transfer here to Norrkoping District where I have since presided, the change taking place April 23rd. After having spent fifteen months in Jonkoping and acting as branch president the last four months of this time, can say I fully enjoyed my labors while there, receiving many convincing proofs of the truthfulness this the Gospel of Christ. All of which have endeared to me this privilege of doing my might in tho furtherance of this Gospel. I have found the people as a whole well versed in Bible passages and quite religious at heart, although from a rational standpoint of view their customs, morals, etc. do not harmonize har-monize with a true Christians' conduct, con-duct, . this is general and therefore not necessarily individual. I have found these good people to be quite tolerant, of course with its exceptions, but as a rule their altitude alti-tude is reflected in the manner in which we are received by them, as is the case during the summer months, during which time we usually usual-ly ride bicycles into the country and try to remain out with the people, tractiDg and holding meetings. Since arriving in this my new field of labnr, I have been under the necessity of spending a great deal of my time travelling throughout the district and therefore until the present pres-ent time when I am once again net-tied. net-tied. I have felt it best to wait and write yon until I rould s-t down and consistently without haste send you these few lines and at the same time request that, you change my address. .Again thanking you for the "home" paper and wishing you success. Sincerely, Elder Hilding J. Hanson. |
