Show Lillian Beck obituaries ) Leland Smith Lillian Greenwood Beck, 90, of American Fork, died Friday, Dec. 4, 1987 in American Fork. She was born Jan. 31, 1897 in American Fork, the daughter of William J. and Sophia Johnson Greenwood. She married Calbert Henry Beck June 2, 1920 in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He died Jan. 11, 1963. She was a member of the American Fork 19th Ward, served in the Primary, past Grandparent Program at USTS. Survivors include two sons and one daughter: Lyman R. Beck, Merrill C. Beck, and Mrs. James (Arlene) Nave, all American Fork; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren ; one brother: Mercer ( Greenwood, American Fork. Funeral was Tuesday, Dec. 8, at the American Fork 19th LDS Ward. He was born May 18, 1913 in Crescent, Utah, the son of Charles Eddins and Lucy Ethel Brown Smith. He married Fern Robinson Dec. 8, 1939 in American Fork. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a lifelong resident of Crescent and worked many years in Draper Poultry, was dance director in the LDS Church for 39 years, served on General Board Dance Committee, supervisor of folk dance section in 1965 over 1,360 people, Survivors include four daughters and one son: David Wayne Smith, American Fork; Meril Lyn Steinquist, Bountiful; Mrs. David (Kathleen) Clark and Lucille Stout, both Crescent; Mrs. Richard (Madeline) Wright, Sandy; 20 grandchildren; grand-children; 15 greatgrandchildren; great-grandchildren; one brother and one sister: Eldon A. Smith, Sandy, and Mrs. Sherman K. (Erma) Wiseman, Yuma, Ariz. Funeral will be Wednesday, noon, Crescent 1st, 24th, 30th Ward, 90 East 11000 South. Friends may call at the church in Crescent one hour prior to services. Burial in the Crescent Cemetery. Isaac L. Fowler Old Folks Committee 25 years, and a farmer. " MmBmm' t ' '-' ' 'A J Glenn A. Wright Isaac Lynden Fowler, 85, died Dec. 3, 1987 in an Orem care center following complication from a stroke. He was born Oct. 30, 1902 in Lehi, to Edmund H. and Mary Elizabeth Chilton Fowler. He married Myrle Roundy May 14, 1927 at Geneva, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He was a master chef and owned his own cafe for 25 years in Richfield. Rich-field. He was a chef at the Grand Canyon North Rim Lodge for eight years. He operated a small cafe in Provo for 10 years. children and was involved in-volved for 22 years in voluntary social service to the Indians. Survivors include his wife of Provo; three sons and one daughter: Edmund Thel Fowler, Price; Merlyn Fowler, Syracuse; A.D. "Pete" Fowler, Sandy; Joy F. Camp, Sigurd; 17 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; two brothers, Alton "Stoke" Fowler, San Jose, Calif.; Milan Fowler, Lehi. Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. , 7, in the Provo 9th Ward. Burial was in the Lehi City Cemetery. He served in the LDS Church as secretary of the Elders Quorum, secretary to five ward bishoprics and on the Stake Scout committee in the Sevier Stake. He has 17 foster Lamanite : his wife in Portland, Oregon. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; children: Lawrence and Barbara Wright, Cedar City; James and Janet Wright, Denver; David and Carolyn Wright, Provo; Doris and Stephen Greenwood, Green-wood, Duchesne; Marcia and Sidney C. Young, Sandy; Kenneth and Denise Wright, Denver; 27 grandchildren; grand-children; one great grandson. Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 5, in the Provo 48th Ward. Burial was in the American Fork City Cemetery. Hazel W. Stubbs Glenn Arthur Wright, 83, died Dec. 2, 1987 at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center. He was born March 31, 1904 in American Fork, to James A. and Mary Elizabeth June Shelley Wright. He married Dorothy Grant Dec. 10, 1936 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He served in the Army during World War II. He assisted in establishing the National Guard unit in American Fork and retired at the rank of Lt. Colonel. He was employed by the Provo City Engineering Department Depart-ment from 1947-1970, serving as city engineer from 1963-1970. He was an active member of the LDS Church. He was a counselor in two bishoprics, stake clerk, ordinance worker at the Provo Temple. He served a mission with Hazel Crystal Wagstaff Stubbs, 83, of Provo, died Wednesday, Dec. 2, 1987 in Orem of causes incident to age. She was born June 1, 1904 in Provo to James Crystal and Mary Elizabeth Ritchie Wagstaff. She married Henry Moyle Stubbs June 30, 1926 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She received her early education in American Fork and Provo schools, and attended Lincoln High in her senior year, graduating from Lincoln Lin-coln High School. Following her marriage, they made their home in Provo. She was an active member of the LDS Church. She enjoyed singing and sang in the church choirs, including the Provo 3rd Ward Choir, for many years. She was active in the Relief Society arid served in many positions including secretary. She served as a Primary and Sunday School teacher. She spent many years doing genealogy work and was an active temple worker. Survivors include her husband of Provo; one son, Max Stubbs, Ogden; eight grandchildren grand-children and six great grandchildren. Funeral ' services were held Monday, Dec. 7, in the Provo 3rd Ward. Burial was in the American Fork City Cemetery. Ray Garn Holbrook Lynn McCarrell Ray Garn Holbrook, 76, of Lehi, died Dec. 2, 1987 in a Provo hospital of heart failure. He was born May 3, 1911 in Lehi, to Dr. Horace Cook and Leona Garn Grace Holbrook. He married Helen June Walsworth Nov. 1, 1939 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was a farmer. He served an LDS mission in the Swiss-German Mission. He graduated from the University of Utah. He served as president of the Utah Lake Distributing Company, president of Provo River Water Users Association, served on the North Utah County Water Conservancy District, as a district supervisor of Alpine Soil Conservation Con-servation District for 36 years. He served on the city council for Lehi City and on the board of directors of the State Bank of Lehi. He was president of the Selective Service Board and was honored by the Utah National Guard as a recipient of the Minute Man award. He was a member of the Lehi Lions Club. He served in the LDS Church as High Priest Group Leader, stake 70's president, financial clerk and in various teaching positions. Survivors include his wife, Lehi; a daughter, Mrs. James (Susan Rae) Chadwick, Mid-vale; Mid-vale; sons, Stephen Garn, David W., Bryce E., and Scott R. Holbrook, all of Lehi; 24 grandchildren; brothers brothe-rs and sister: Dr. Horace G. Holbrook, Dr. Von G. Holbrook, B.G. Holbrook, Dr. Boyd G. Holbrook, Eldon G. Holbrook and Mrs. John (Arva H.) Whitby, all of Salt Lake City. Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 5, in the Lehi Utah State Center. Burial was in the Lehi City Cemetery. Lynn McCarrell, 61, passed away in the Salt Lake LDS hospital Dec. 6, 1987. He was born to Theadore (Thead) and Pearl Bell Evans McCarrell, Mc-Carrell, Jan. 20, 1926, in Vernal. He married Barbara Fausett, Sept. 10, 1949, in Vernal. The marriage was later solemnized in the Sale Lake LDS Temple. He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a charter member of the Vernal Roping Club. He worked for Utah Power and Light for 37 years and was a member of the Naples City Council for four years. He was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in many positions, including in-cluding scoutmaster and ward clerk. Members of his family include his wife of Vernal, one son, two daughters: Michael L. "Stoney" McCarrell and Mrs. Steven (Pat) Hunting, both of Vernal ; Mrs. Ray (Theada) Roloff, Dixon, Calif.; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Chuck (Leora) Hazelbush, Vernal; and Fern Lambert, Salt Lake City. Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 11, at 11 a.m. in the Vernal 4th Ward chapel. Friends may call at the William K. Holley Funeral Home Thursday Thur-sday evening from 7 to 9 and at the funeral home Friday one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the Vernal Memorial Park under the direction direc-tion of the William K. Jolley Funeral Home.
