Show Sadie Chandler Speaks to Modernette Club Mrs. George McNees was hostess hos-tess to the Moderncttes at her home Wednesday evening, Oct. 17 with President Loraine Boyer in charge. For entertainment of the ladies, Mrs. Sadie S. Chandler, guest speaker, told of her recent travels over Europe, and showed slides of the wonders, historical and scenic, of the old world and also the modem side. The picture tour took its viewers from England and Scotland over France, Gennany, to Switzerland and Southern Italy, which included includ-ed Rome, the Catacombs, the Vatican, Vat-ican, which was the religious center cen-ter of early Christianity. Mrs. Chandler also told of the habits and customs of the people over there. Later while the ladies discussed questions and marveled at what they had heard, they enjoyed a tasty supper at small tables, set in autumn colors, featuring Halloween. Hal-loween.
