The county commissioners com-missioners may. under the now liquor law, grant renewals of liquor licenses in the county unit until October 1, although al-though the unit went dry, according to an opinion rendered by County Attorney At-torney I. E. Wllley Friday. Since tho special liquor election the county commissioners com-missioners have received, several applications ap-plications for renewals of licenses, until the law relative to the prohibition prohibi-tion of tho sale of Intoxicating liquor goes Into effect October 1 County Attorney Wllley Is of the opinion that a reasonablo construction construc-tion of the law would permit the commissioners com-missioners to grant an additional quarter's license at the time of tho election. In his opinion to the commission-ors, commission-ors, howevor, Mr. Wllley emphatically emphatical-ly called attention to the necessity of their extreme caro that the applicants appli-cants for licenses complied with the requirements of the law relative to being American citizens.
