Show METAL eRAFTSMEN JFIM1MK Salt Lake, June 3 Although it has not been definitely decided, It is likely like-ly that the general meeting of mental craftsmen of the western division of the Harriman system, which opens In this city Monday morning at 9 o'clock, will be held in the Federation of Labor La-bor hall. In all there will be more than 100 delegates present when, tho meeting is called to order These delegates will represent the local unions of tho various states in the west where the Harriman system operates J. J. Jones of Los Angeles, the representative rep-resentative of the boiler makers of that locality, who was elected temporary tem-porary president at the first meetings, held "in Sacramento, Cal., some time ago, has arrived In Salt Lake and will preside at the sessions until a permanent perma-nent set of offlcors Is elected All of the delegates from the boiler makers' and the blacksmiths' unions, numbering about fifteen from each organization, haye arrived in the city and are holding their annual district council meetings in the Wilson hotel. A number ot the carmen are in the city, though the full delegation of thirty thir-ty members is not expected before tomorrow to-morrow morning The machinists will have about twenty delegates present at the meeting, the carmen thirty, the boiler makers fifteen, the blacksmiths black-smiths fifteen and the tinsmiths fifteen, fif-teen, while te other crafts, Buch as the brass workers and coppersmiths, will have smaller delegations present The meeting will probably last the entire weck, ultimately resulting in tne perfection of the system of federation outlined at the Sacramento meeting and the e'eetlou of a full set of officers and board of directors, giving each craft an equal representation on |
