Show AVALANCHE BUMS A ROAD . i An avalanche of snow and earth, which has burled tho Western Pacific Pa-cific tracks in the Feather Rlvor canyon, hns again made necossary tho dotourlng of trains from that road oor tho Southern Pacific. Thirty passengers were turned over to the Southern Pacific by the Gould line this morning, together Ith a carload of baggage. A tralnload of cattlo also hag been transferred to tho Harrlmnn lino at this point and tho outlook is that all passenger trains, and also freight trains carrying perishable goods, will be Intrusted to the Southern Pacific. It Is said that the present blockndc is of a more serious nature than tho one of two weeks ago and It has not been deflnltoly ascertained when tho lino can be opened ugain to traffic Both tho Sbuthorn Pacific and Union Pacific lines nro clear and trains are running on their usual schedules. In Utah the Oregon Short Line Is open but in Idaho the road Is still tied up bj tho washout near Pocatel-lo Pocatel-lo As a consequence of this blockade, no train hns reached Ogden from Butte In -IS hours |
