Show POLES TO BE MOVED ' SOON Managor Decker of the Utah Light & Railway company states that the wiring in the center of blocks for the lighting of business houses and residences resi-dences within the paved district of tho city has "been completed and that most of the poles havo been removed from the center of tho streets in tho district. Large poles are- still to be seen on Washington avenue, between tho river bridge and Twenty-eighth street, but, It Is stated by the light company, they cannot bo removed until tho Boll Telephone company removes Its wires. Most of the electric elec-tric w!ro8 havo boen taken from tho poles and the telephone company la busy placing its underground cables to receive tho wlros. As soon as tho underground wiring for the telephone company is completed, com-pleted, thewlros will bo taken from the large poles in tho center of Washington Wash-ington avenue in tho paved district, and the poles will be romoved. It may icquiro thirty or forty days tlmo in which to strip tho poles of all the wires and remove them. Ordors hao l)cen given tho Rapid Transit company com-pany to remove its trolley poles from tho center to tho sides of tho streets In tho paved districts and It Is said this will be done -when the electric light poles arc taken from tho center of Washington aenuo. |
