Show NOTES FROM DESERET Deseret has had Its full share of spring winds, sautl and dust the past week. The wind has been strong enough to blow off light roola and overturn over-turn outbuildings and the dust has been blinding. A good many Deseret people are busy gardening, putting in lawns and irrigatln, trying to make Deseret less of a desert. Orson Cuhoon and A. A. Cahoon are remodeling the old adobe house which has stood empty so long acress the roatl from Hale's place. Frank Western's little girl, Mabel, is recovering rapidly from an attack of typhoid fever. The grippe has seized another victim, vic-tim, t'uls time Mrs. Joseph Damron, who has been 111 for several days. Mr. and Mrs. Orson Cahoon's bal has been very III ever since Its birth, due lo a congenital defect of the heart. Miss Matilda Hales has recently left for Salt Lake, where she plans to take a nurse's course at the L. D. S. hospital. hos-pital. Miss Hales is one of the most efficient nurses Deseret has ever had and she will be greatly missed. This week the Deseret school closes. There are fourteen in the eighth grade graduating class this year. |
