Show WOULD CHARGE SELF WITH BREAKING LAW FILES COMPLAINT ON SELF FOR FIGHTING One of the most unique happenings to occur in Milford took place this week when an unknown man entered Cline's store in search of Justice of the Peace Bert Nichols. It developed that the man. had' been in a three-cornered three-cornered fight, had worsted his adversaries, and then had hastened to file a complaint of assault against himself. His purpose, he said, was to beat the other two to it, and thus deny them the satisfaction of being responsible for his being fined. Before he could locate the Jude, he seems to have been dissuaded from his original intent, and so took no legal action against himself. yfn the fight, which occured just 'out of town, knock downs were frequent, fre-quent, clubs used, and a revolver brandished. The would-be plaintiff and defen-dent defen-dent said that the other parties were named Brunson and Carling. He did not give his own name, but is said to be a horse wrangler engaged in work south of town. The occasion for the fight was exception ex-ception taken to a few fancy remarks re-marks between the horseman and Carling, and then Brunson is said to have interceded for the latter. . |
