Show Programs for wives of married students offered at Southern Utah State College A Special program for wives of married -students will again be offered . at Southern .Utah State College winter quarter, it was announced an-nounced by Mrs. Ada Carpenter, Car-penter, chairman of the SUSC Department of Family Life. Registration will be Thursday, Jan. 6 at 7:30 p.m. in the small ballroom of the Student Center. Courses offered will include in-clude Guida?" of the Young, Tu iV and Thursday Thurs-day from 12 noon to 1 p.m.; Home furnishings for one week beginning Jan. 10; Basic Clothing Construction, Monday from 3 to 5 p.m. beginning be-ginning Jan. 19, and Growth of the Infant, Monday, Wednesday Wed-nesday and Friday from 2 to 3 p.m. A special class in story telling will be offered on Wednesdays from 3:30 to 6 p.m. This will be taught by Mrs. Marilyn Swinyard. Fees are $2 per class or $6 per credit hour if desired. Mrs. Carpenter said that children of wives attending classes may be enrolled in the SUSC pre-school class while the mothers are attending at-tending classes, at no extra charge. Registration for this service will be conducted during the time of registration registra-tion for the student wives classes. The course in Home furnishings furn-ishings ' is being taught in cooperation with the Iron County Extension Office under un-der the direction of Mrs. Marva Esplin. Guidance of the Young will be taught by Mrs. Carpenter, Basic Cloth-ing Cloth-ing Construction by Mrs. Denora Miller, and Growth of the Infant by Mrs. Bonnie Bon-nie Bishop. |
