Show Frank Williamson, life-long Paragonah resident dies served as a counselor in the Ward Bishopric for a number of years. He was a farmer, a diaryman and a plumber. He maintained the towns water system for 40 years. He also helped build the Paragonah Reservoir. He is survived by his wife, a son, Lester, C, Paragonah; a diaghter, Mrs. Sheldon (Dorothy) Benson, Parowan; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Also surviving sur-viving is a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Frank Williamson, Jr. of Cedar City. Frank Jr. passed away some two years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Mike Williamson and their son came from Salt Lake City for the funeral. Mrs. . Frank Williamson, Jr. and daughter, Doris, were here from , Cedar City. Frank Williamson, 92, passed away at his home early Thursday morning after being active all of the previous day. Funeral services were held in the Paragonah Ward Chapel Saturday, Oct. 16 under the direction of Bishop Kenneth G. Topham. Paul Williamson gave the family prayer in the Relief Society room where the viewing was held. Mrs. Melva Barton played the prelude and postlude organ music. The invocation was given by Antone Robinson. The choir sang "I Have Work Enough To Do," under the direction of Hazel Jean Robinson. A history of the deceased was given by Kerry Benson, a grandson, and Howard Joseph was the speaker. Heber Lund played a musical selection on the accordian and Bisahop Topham gave closing remarks. The choir sang "Abide With Me 'Tis Eventide," and Albin Judd pronounced the benediction. At the cemetery Orson Talbot gave the dedicatory prayer. Franklin Knowles Williamson was born June 19, 1884 in Paragonah to William and Martha Knowles Williamson. He was tenth in a family of 12; children. He graduated from the 1 Branch Normal in Cedar City in 1907 and the University of Utah in 1908 where he received a Teachers Certificate. He taught school for one year. On August 31, 1911 he married Mary C (Dena) Williams in Summit. The marriage was solemnized later in the St. George LDS Temple. , Mr. Williamson was an active member of the LDS Church and |
