Show A N THOMAS A. ROBINSON Paragonah resident dies, funeral held on Wednesday By Hilma Lamoreaux Thomas A. Robinson, 84 of Paragonah passed away Saturday, Sa-turday, June 5 at the Valley View Medical Center Center of causes incident to age. Funeral service were held Wednesday in the Paragonah Ward Chapel. He was born July 4, 1886 in Paragonah, a son of Thomas and Susann Adams Tcpham Robinson. On June 15, 1910 he married Hannah Jane Clove in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in June, 1970. He received his schooling in Paragonah and at the Branch of Brigham Young University in Beaver. He filled a mission mis-sion for the church in 1907 in the Eastern States. Mr. Robinson was prominent promin-ent in the affairs of the Paragonah Para-gonah Ward and community. He served as superintendent of the Sunday School and as a counselor in the YJMMIA. He was a teacher in the priesthood priest-hood quorums and in the Sunday Sun-day School, retiring from the latter position at the age of 79. He served as 'mayor and board Memher of the Paragonah Para-gonah township, was treasurer treasur-er of the Paragonah Water System for 35 years, secretary of the Livestock Association i and on the board of directors of the Southern Utah Dairy Co. He was a skilled carpenter as well as engaging in the farming and livestock raising and he and his wife home-steaded home-steaded a ranch in Bear Valley. Val-ley. Survivors include his widow, six daughters, Ada Robinson and Mrs. Hilma Lamoreau, both of Paragonah; Mrs. Lowell Low-ell (Leta) Evans, Parowan; Mrs. H. N. (Nona) Harris and Mrs. Elwin (Rosemary) Talbot, Tal-bot, both Salt Lake City; Mrs. Charles (Anna) Field, Douglas, Doug-las, Ariz.;; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Mabel Robinson, Salt Lake City; a foster daughter, Mrs. James H. (Miriam) Anderson, An-derson, and a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Myr-tle Abbott, both of Paragonah. Also surviving are 22 grandchildren grand-children and 31 great-grand children. Burial was In the Paragonah Cemetery. |
