Show Clarence Englestead dies, funeral held in New Harmony Funeral services were held Tuesday at the New Harmony Ward Chapel for Clarence M'adsen Englestead, 81, who died June 5 in the Valley View Medical Center of natural na-tural causes. He was born October 23, 1889 in Hatch, a son of Engle-bert Engle-bert and Sine Sorensen Englestead. Engle-stead. He married Laverna Taylor Tuly 20, 1917 in Parowan and the marriage was later solemnized sol-emnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was a veteran of World War I. Survivors include his widow wid-ow and five phildren, Elmo, Alta, Thelma, Lucile and June. Also surviving are 1G grandchildren, five greatgrandchildren great-grandchildren and the following follow-ing brothers, Marion H., Para-gonah; Para-gonah; Alvin, Kanosh; Homer and Earl, Hurricane. Speakers at the services in cluded Gerald Prince, Lyle Prince with a history by Viola Kelsey and remarks - by Bp. Vivian F. Prince, who conducted. con-ducted. Family prayer was offered by Alvin Englestead, Invocation Invoca-tion was by Earl Englestead, benediction by James Prince and the dedication of the grave at the New Harmony cemetery was by Binny Sor-enson. Sor-enson. Military rites were performed by the Veterans of World War I. Musical selections included two numbers by the New Harmony Ward Singing Mothers Moth-ers and a vocal solo by Monta Ballard. |
