Show Cedar Resident Dies Instantly In Nevada Crash Lynn Bert Keele, 26, son of Bert and Emma Jolley Keele of Cedar City, was killed instantly early thu morning (Thursday) when the automobile he was driving plunged into a deep wash at Caliente, Nevada. The "accident apparently occur-red occur-red at about 6 a. m., Nevada officers report. They state that a friend reported seeing Keele leave the Nevada city alone a few minutes earlier. However the accident was not discovered until about 11 a. m. No one saw the accident but evidence at the scene indicates that the car plunged off the bridge across the wash, apparentsly after the driver had lost control of the machine. The young man had been working with the road construction construc-tion crew on a road being built between the Nevada line and Panaca. He had apparently driven driv-en Into Caliente and was return ing when the accident happened. He was driving an automobile that he had purchased about two weeks ago. He is a veteran of World War II, having served with the Navy for about three years. He was a member of the Seabees and served serv-ed In Alaska and in the Pacific area. He was born in Glendale, Utah, and moved to Cedar City with his parents in 1923. He is survived hy his parents, one brother, bro-ther, Karl Keele, and two sisters, sis-ters, Lois Keele, and Marie Keele Lambeth, all of Cedar City. |
