Show NGtmiGWUG tfflJS By Wynona Henderson 679-8560 We're all enjoying the beautiful beauti-ful fall season. The leaves are so very beautiful and I've especially espe-cially noticed the ones at the Mecham Dugway. Visitors with Jeff and Kim Johnson this week were John Brown of Salt Lake City and Josh Kincaid of Cambridge, Ida. They were good friends of Carson's and they all grew up here together. Clayton and Heather Johnson and Jeff and Kim have gone to gather firewood fire-wood for winter. Iris Bushnell received word of another great-granddaughter born to Laycee and Ryan Johnson of Toquerville. She weighed 7 pounds and proud grandparents are Pete and Keela Mangum of Tropic. A good time was had by all who attended the annual Deer Hunter's Ball last weekend. Tom Reynolds of Panguitch won the rifle and Brad Cowan won the 22. A special plaque was presented to past president Ernie and secretary Wynona Henderson. They thank the club for the special award. Ernie and Wynona also cele brated 45 years together by going out to dinner and a movie. Vern and Carol Ann Winter were in out area visiting from Ogderi. Carol Ann grew up in Tropic and met her husband at Bryce. We hope their next trip will allow them to stay longer so that we can catch up on the latest lat-est news. Overnight visitors at Ernie and Wynona Henderson's home were Barbara and Reid Hammond of West Valley City. They were good friends and neighbors for 35 years and this was the Hammonds first visit to Henrieville. They fell in love with the area. Lisa Chynoweth worked at the post office a day last week to give Thelma Smith a day off. Joan and Doyle Jackson went with Ernie and Wynona Henderson one day last week to get firewood. They enjoyed it, but found out how old they are all getting. We were saddened to hear of ' the death of Cecil Griffin of Escalante, husband of Carrie Bailey Griffin, who is a relative of the Hendersons. Our love and sympathy go to the family. |
