Show Griffins Honored By Family For 68th Anniversary ESCALANTE Mr. and Mrs. Ray Griffin celebrated 68 years of marriage last week with a family gathering at their home in Escalante. Ray Griffin, now 88 years old, and his wife, the former Lenora Roundy, now 86, were married April 11, 1961 in Escalante, later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He is a farmer and sheepherder and the couple lives on the same lot in Escalante where his wife was born 86 years ago. The couple has five children: Claron, Mrs. Orlas (Melba) Brooks and William R. all Esclante; Eva Dean Liston, Salt Lake City; and Eugene "Pole", Huntington. They have 17 grandchilren, 37 great - grandchildren and 17 great -great - grandchildren. |
