Show Uvada Alvey Moosman BOULDER Funeral services for Uvada Alvey Moosman, 86, of Boulder, who died March 8, 1993 in Provo, Utah, were held Friday, March 12, 1993 in the Boulder LDS Ward Chapel. Elder Kelly Roundy officiated the service following a family prayer which was offered by Kenneth Ken-neth Mathews. Prelude and postlude music were performed by Gladys LeFevre, with the invocation invoca-tion given by Barbara Gardner. A tribute and history were rendered by Lenora LeFevre and the Boulder Ward Choir sang a musical selection. selec-tion. RayL Moosman spoke, followed fol-lowed by a piano solo by Lonny Mathews. LeRoy Moosman gave remarks with Terry Mathews closing clos-ing with the benediction. Pallbearers were Bob Wilson, Ron Moosman, Bryce Moosman, Kenneth Mathews, Terry Mathews, Dean Wilson, Steve Wilson, Shawn Moosman, Kay Moosman, Gary Moosman and Robbie Conder. Compassionate service was rendered ren-dered and floral arrangements were transported by sisters of the Boulder t j I Uvada Moosman LDS Ward Relief Society. Interment was in the Boulder Cemetery with Doyle Moosman performing the dedication of the grave, all under the direction of Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary, Mortu-ary, Richfield. Cora Fern Hutson Allison ST. GEORGE, UTAH Cora Fern Hutson Allison, 90, died Tuesday, March 9, 1993 at the St. George Care Center. She was bom Feb. 1, 1903, in Benedict, Kansas, a daughter of Edward and Mary Ellen Stewart Hutson. She married James Albert Allison in July 1923 in Kansas. He died in February 1986. Cora was reared and educated in Kansas. She and her husband lived in Kansas until the mid 1930's when they moved to Southern California Cali-fornia where her husband was employed em-ployed with the Southern California Water Works. Cora and her husband were avid campers and rock hounds. They had many enjoyable trips looking for rocks and making rock jewelry. Cora came to St. George in 1991. She loved flowers, plants and gardening; gar-dening; she had a great green thumb. She was a marvelous cook and enjoyed preparing family dinners. din-ners. She was a collector and had r, collected 1200 pairs of salt and pepper shakers. Cora centered her life around her husband and family and was very devoted to them. Survivors include two sons, S i ! i - i Fern Allison Darrcll Dean Allison, Kingman, Ariz.; Eldon Eugene Allison, Panguitch, Pan-guitch, Utah; one sister, Vera Long, Parsons, Kansas; five grandchildren grand-children and 11 great-grandchildren. Graveside services were held Fri day, March 12, 1993 at Inglewood Park Cemetery, Inglewood, Calif. Funeral Directors were Spilsbury Desert Rose Memorial Chapel, St. George, Utah. Robert G. Sorensen ESCALANTE Robert G. Sorensen, 70, Escalante, died March 8, 1993 in Mesa, Ariz. He was bom on May 31, 1922 in Muskegon, Mich, to William and Alice Wilde Sorensen. He married mar-ried Patricia L. Revord on April 22, 1942. A retired Regional Service Auditor, Audi-tor, he was employed for 27 years with Clarke Floor Machine and was a veteran of World War II where he served in the U.S. Army. He was a scout leader for 10 years, a member of Moose Lodge 0259 and a member mem-ber of the Central Lutheran Church of Muskegon. In Escalante he was an active member of the community commu-nity and involved in civic affairs, serving on the Escalante City Council. He and wife, Pat were ownermanagers of the Moqui Motel Mo-tel for many years and he was an avid rockhound. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Pa-tricia L. Sorensen; one son and one daughter, Steven Robert Sorensen, Santa Ana, Calif.; Mrs. Donald (Suzanne) Mosier, Escalante, Utah; two brothers, Jack A. Sorensen, Muskegon, Mich, and William F. Sorensen, Coral Gables, Fl.; and Robert G. Sorensen two grandchildren, Robert William Sorensen, Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif, and Scott Paul Sorensen, Solana Beach, Calif. Burial and cremation arrangements arrange-ments were under the direction of Maryvale Mortuary-National Cremation Cre-mation & Burial, Phoenix, Ariz. Services will be held at a later date. Erma Henrie Burgin DAYS CREEK, OR. Erma Henrie Burgin, 86, a former resident of Days Creek, Oregon, passed away on March 13, 1993 at a Portland Port-land hospital. She was bom June 10, 1906 in Panguitch, Utah to Samuel and Hettie (Horn) Henrie. In 1923 she was united in marriage to Harold O. Burgin in Cedar City, Utah. She lived on a ranch near Days Creek and Milo, Ore. from 1944 until 1985. Harold passed away in 1980 and in 1985, Erma moved to Maupin to be near her daughter, Carol. While living in southern Oregon, Erma was a member of both the Rebecca Lodge in Canyon-ville Canyon-ville and the World War I Veterans Auxiliary of the American Legion. She is survived by her daughter, Carol Burgin of Maupin, Ore.; eight grandchildren: Pamela Lewis, Portland, Ore.; Karen Glavinic, Anchorage, Alaska; Robert Season, Canyonville, Ore.; Janet Season, Gresham, Ore.; Christina Prichett, Grants Pass, Ore.; Sheri Mills, Eugene, Ore.; Hallie Biggart, Ven-ta. Ven-ta. Ore.; Lori Colwell, Junction City, Ore.; and numerous greatgrandchildren. great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held March 17, 1993 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Canyonville, Ore. with Bishop Ken Brinkerhoff presiding. Interment was in the Canyonville Masonic Cemetery, Canyonville, Ore. with all arrangements under the direction of Ml View Funeral Home of Myrtle Myr-tle Creek, Ore. Donald Griffin ESCALANTE Donald Griffin, Grif-fin, 67, former resident of Provo and currently of Escalante, died March 15, 1993 in Panguitch, Utah. He was bom April 3, 1925 in Escalante to Kenneth and Ella Porter Griffin. He married Darlene Porter. Survivors include his wife, Darlene; Dar-lene; children, Mrs. Gary (Lana) Harding; Randy Lynn Griffin, and Mrs. Curt (Diane) Richins; 12 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; a brother, Kenneth J. Griffin; daughter-in-law, Marilee Mazzone. He was preceded in death by son, Layne; sister, Alma; and his parents. par-ents. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 19, 1993 at 1 p.m. in the Escalante 2nd Ward LDS Chapel. Friends may call at the ward chapel in Escalante on Friday from 11:30 a.m. to. 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Escalante Cemetery with funeral directors Neal S.
