Show NEWSPAPER MAN MAKES GOOD. Adopted Son of Utah Will Aid in Upbuilding Up-building of Alaska. Salt Lake City. A Salt Lake man, Kenneth C. Kerr, has been selected to head the new publicity bureau for the exploitation and development of Alaska, and the vast resources of that new and wonderful territory. He has been employed by the Alaska Steamship Steam-ship company, one of the great corporations corpor-ations of the Morgan-Guggenheim syndicate, syn-dicate, which is doing so much in the upbuilding of Alaska. A new railroad, rail-road, the Copper River & Northwestern, Northwest-ern, is being built from Cordova to the interior, and at the end of the line a copper mine will be developed which is one of the richest in .the world. Although Al-though Mr. Kerr was born in Washington, Wash-ington, D. C, and comes from a family fam-ily of writers and statesmen, he has been in the west for the past twenty years, engaged in newspaper work, and railroading. He was the first man to be engaged at this end of the line to exploit the new road to Los Angeles An-geles (the Salt Lake Route) and has been engaged on various other lines of promotion and exploitation. He is also one of the best known newspaper men in the west, and takes with him to his new field of action a wealth of experience which spells success in his undertaking. |
