I United States Department of I Agriculture, Office of fhe I Secretary, September, 1910. t - Hereafter during the fiscal i year ending June 30, 1911, j unless otherwise ordered, pro-j pro-j vided Congress shall make the i necessary appropriation or j authorize the pavment thereof, I the Department of Agriculture j will pav the following rewards. ! First; Not exceeding $250, land not less than $."50 for information in-formation leading to the arrest ' and eon viction of any person j in any United States court, on i the charge of willfully and j maliciously setting on fire or j causing to be set on lire, any i timber, underbrush or grass, j upon the lands of the United , States within a national forest, j Second; Not exceeding $100 (and not less than $2o for in- formation leading to the arrest I and conviction of any person, in any United States court on the charge of building a fire on the lands of the United States within a national forest, in or near any forest timber or other inflammable material, and leaving said fire before the same has been totally extinguished. ex-tinguished. Third; All officers and em-i em-i ployees of the Department of Agriculture are barred from receiving reward for information informa-tion leading to the arrest and conviction of any person or persons committing either of the above offences. Fourth; The Department of Agriculture reserves the right to refuse payment or any claim for reward, when, in its opinion there has been collusion. James Wilsox. Secretary of Agriculture.
