He was better Wednesday, but it is feared the boy will never recover. Aside from this the people are enjoying excellent excel-lent health. The threshers started in Dewny-ville Dewny-ville this week. There were four headers at work, but they have been silenced through no more fields to conquer. There is some side-raking still being done. So far scarcely any grasshoppers at all have showed their wicked little heads down off the mountain slope, where our friend the lime man, reports them in full force. The harvest will be a good one. Bishop Dewey will have a heavy crop of apples this year. There are no worms in them either. Some of our fruit growers will have scarce i apple crops this year. Beatrice. Deweyville, Aug. 8. DEWEYVILLE BLOOD POISONING. Annual CoiiTcrcnco of Relief Koclcty and Young Lal1et. Thursday, August 2, was a gala i day for the ladies of Deweyville. It was the occasion of the annual confeience of the Relief Society and V. L. M. 1. A. of this place. The morning hours were devoted to the Relief meeting. This was large!- attended and a good spirit prevailed. The remarks were listen lis-ten ed to with great interest. After the meeting a grand dinner was served. This was a most enjoyable feature of the day. At 2 p, m. the young ladies took the reins and a splendid meeting followed, The day will be long remembeved.
