Show HONOR PIONEER ON NINETIETH BIRTHDAY The ninetieth anniversary of the birth of Willson G. Nowers was celebrated cele-brated last Monday evening at the home of his eldest daughter, Mrs. Nancy Burt of this city. Mr. Nowers Now-ers is a native of Dover, England, and came to Utah in the early 50's. He helped in the settlement of Paro-wan, Paro-wan, and is the only survivor of the pioneers of Beaver. Mr. Nqwers has five living children, chil-dren, 28 grandchildren and 21 greatgrandchildren. great-grandchildren. Among the guests, other than the direct family, were Pres. and Mrs. McGregor, My. and Mrs. J. F. Tol-ton, Tol-ton, Prof, and Mrs. R. Maeser. Elaborate Elab-orate refreshments were served, and remarks eulogistic of the life, labors and service of Mr. Nowers were made by Toastmaster Tolton and Prof. Maeser. Reminlscences of pioneer days in Beaver were also discussed. Mr. Nowers Is physically and mentally mental-ly fitted to live for many years yet to come. Beaver Corr. in Telegram. a |
