Show . OBITUARY. Armstrong. In this city. May 14, 190S, Mrs. Lu-cinda Lu-cinda J. Armstrong, in her fifty-first year, wife of LeRoy Armstrong. Brief as the foregoing is, it marked the' closing of a tender, beautiful life and the passing of a pure, womanly soul. For many months an invalid, suffering constantly, her Christian patience pa-tience and resignation were edifying. The deepest sympathy is extended to the bereaved husband and children in their great affliction. Words are pow-. erless to comfort them, but they have the consolation of knowing that they made their dear one's life as calm and happy as it was possible for a human life to be. Quietly a,s a little child sinking sink-ing to rest, she entered into her final' sleep without fear, .confident in the goodness of the God she, faithfully worshipped, and obedient to His will. She died the death of the just, leaving to her loved bnes the best heritage of all, the memory of her blameless, Christian life, which is an inspiration to others. Though the hearts of those who loved her are sorrowing and their eyes dim, there is the consolation of knowing that the quiet sleeper has gone forever from pain and care, to receive re-ceive the reward promised to those who die in the Lord. May her rest be J sweet. . . |
