Show Services held in SLC for former resident Funeral services were held Tuesday in Salt Lake City for Mrs. Kate Rowland Pace, 90, a former resident of Springville Spring-ville and a sister of Mrs. Irene Strong of this city, who died Saturday, April 6, 1963, in a Salt Lake hospital of complications compli-cations following a fracture to her hip. Interment was in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Pace was born in Springville, April 2, 1873, a daughter of early settlers, Samuel and Mary Boar Rowland Row-land and made her home here before her marriage to John Henry Pace in 1898. She was a member of the LDS Church, haaving served as Primary President and Relief Re-lief Society teacher in the Salt Lake City 29th Ward for many years. She was noted for her beautiful hand work, and had won prizes for her crocheted and appliqued quilts. She was a member of the DUP. Surviving are two daughters daugh-ters and a son: Mrs. Glenn S. (Faun) Burt of Salt Lake; Mrs. Leo F. (Thelma) Dexter of Vernal; and Guy Pace of Seattle, Wash.; eight grandchildren grand-children and several great grandchildren; two sisters: Mrs. Irene Strong of Springville Spring-ville and Mrs. Lottie McDonald McDon-ald of Berkeley, Calif. |
