Show Mapleton man plans major resort venture J. R. Berry, a resident of Mapleton since last Sept., this week announced purchased control of Zion's Investment the -company's headquarters at Mapleton. This week also, Mr. Berry disclosed plans for the development develop-ment of a three-million dollar year-round resort subdivision in Wasatch County. The subdivision sub-division to be called Swiss Estates, Es-tates, is located on 220 acres of prime land the .company owns less than a mile west of the Homestead Resort at Midway. Mid-way. The land which includes the historic, "Devil's Hole" a landmark, juts into the Wasatch Was-atch State Park. Mr. Berry gained control of Mie Investment Corp., by the purchase of 100,000 shares of Zion's Investment Corp. stock. The company has 274,000 shares of stock outstanding. Mr. Berry is owner of the Berry Hereford Farms at Mapleton.- He came to the community com-munity from Albuquerqeu, N. M., where he headed an insurance in-surance company. |
