CENTERFIELD ITEMS Special Correspondence Howard R. Bardsley, who was badly burned April 25, succumbed May 14, from his intense suffering through which" he was very patient, and although very restless the last night, death came easy to him in the morning. He is survived by his parents, Roy S. and Mary Edna Nielsen Bardsley, his brother, Maylin, who is three years old, and a sister, Bernice, one year old. He was born in Centerfield March 20. 1913, and was a loving and dutiful child. Funeral services were held from the meeting house May 16, at 2 p. m., conducted by Counselor Chris A. Petersen. The choir was led by Chorister Sidney J. Fjeldsted. Choir sang "Sometime We'll Understand." Invocation, Chas. H. Embley. Singing, Sing-ing, "Jesus Lover of My Soul." Speakers in order were Hans C. Jensen, Jen-sen, Andrew C. Fjeldsted and Brig-ham Brig-ham Jensen. Singing, "Beautiful Isle," and benediction by Chas. S. Hansen, and he was laid to rest in the Centerfield cemetery. Chesney DeVon, the seven-month-old child of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. O. Hansen, died Tuesday of this week of bronchial pneumonia. He had been a sufferer since birth, Oct. 16, 19 IS. Funeral services were held yesterday from the meeting house. Mrs. Oscar Carlson and son, Harry, Har-ry, of Salt Lake, returned Tuesday morning. She will be remembered as Millie Bardsley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bardsley. Her coming com-ing was occasioned by the death of her nephew, Howard Bardsley. Junius S. Embley is over from France and telegraphed Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Embley, Tuesday that he was leaving Upton, N. Y., for Ft. Russell, Wyo. Louis Hansen, from same (3 5th division), was in Omaha, Oma-ha, Neb., the 17th inst. on his way to Ft. Russell, and with him is Mar- |
