Show Summer Outing Planned By Third Ward Monday Plans are practically complete for the Third ward, annual summer outing announced for Monday August, Aug-ust, 1, under direction of Bishop V. C. Mendenhall and other officers of the wards auxiliary organizations. Everyone in the ward is given an invitation to attend the out-' ing and are expected to be at Canyon Glen, Provo canyon, scene of festivities, at 6 p.m. At 7 o'clock supper will be served, with everyone to bring their own picnic pic-nic lunch. Desert will be furnished by the ward. There will be an entertaining program beginning at 8 p.m., and if there is anyone who can't make it to the luncheon, they are urged to be at the program. Transportation will be furnished furnish-ed all who have no way to get to the canyon and arrangements may be made by contacting Bishop Mendenhall. Electric Cooking To Be Shown At Mapleton R.S. Meet The Mapleton Relief Society will conduct their August meeting in the form of a work and business session at the church beginning at 2 p.m., announces Mrs. Gladys Parry, newly sustained president. A representative from the Utah Power and Light Co., will be in attendance to demonstrate use of the electric stove. It will be an interesting as well as instructive session and a special invitation is extended to all ladies of Mapleton Maple-ton to attend. |
