Show Round-ii' About Town . . . Mrs. Verda Hunter, who with her husband, J. M. Hunter, "-were on a vacation-business trip to Cincinnati, Cin-cinnati, was ifeatured with a picture pic-ture and an interview by the Cincinnati Cin-cinnati Post. Mrs. Hunter was in that city in 1937 and this is her first trip there since. Mr. Hunter, who is a salesman for the Davis Tailoring Co., together to-gether with Mrs. Hunter, visited several cities in the vicinity and returned home Wednesday after having been gone ten days. Mr. and Mrrs. Lorraine Allan (Dorothy Gammell) and three daughters are spending a two-weeks' two-weeks' vacation with their parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Allan and Mr. and Mrs. Welby Groes-beck Groes-beck and family and other friends here. The Allans reside at Fort Bel voir, 'Washnigton, D.. C. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Lovell of Brookside, accompanied by Mrs. LovelPs parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Lindsay of Taylorsville, have returned from a 10-day vacation trip which took them to the canyons can-yons of Southern Utah, also to Los Angeles, and other points of interest on the West Coast. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Sumsion of Santa Barbara, Calif., formerly of Springville, visited early this week with relatives and friends in Springville being the house guests of Mr. Sumsion's sister, Mrs. Grace McKenzie. Tuesday morning, they accompanied their brother, J. M. Sumsion to Salt Lake City, where they will visit relatives before returning re-turning to California. Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Cherrington spent the 24th of July holidays in Springville coming in from Elko. Nev., where Mr. Cherrington is employed on construction with the J. M. Sumsion company. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Crandall ana uaunter, juiuia. uctiii tmu Mr. and Mrs. Bus Snow of San Bernardino, Calif., have just returned re-turned from a two-week's' vacation vaca-tion trip. They went through Yellowstone Yel-lowstone National Park and Jackson, Jack-son, Wyo., also stopped for a time at Jenney's Lake. the Tetons. Glacier National Park and at Lake Louise in Canada. Mr. and Mrrs. G. F. Giles came from Moran, Wyo., where they have been spending the summer at the 3-River Ranch, on account of the serious illness of Mrs. Giles' sister, Mrs. Will Lowe, who recently underwent an operation. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Carnesecca have been spending a few days vacation on the west coast. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Roundy (Valene Stewart) have gone to Hollywood, Calif., where they will attend the national convention of the University of the Arts, to be held from July 24 to 29. It is sponsored by the Nationanl Association As-sociation of Dance and Affiliated Artists. Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Blackett and son, Stanley, of this city in company com-pany with Mr. and Mrs. Foster Anthon and son, Robert, of Provo, returned recently from a two-weeks two-weeks vacation trip through the northwest and coast areas. They toured Victoria, B. C, Seattle, Wash., and drove down the coast to San Francisco. Enroute they visited with relatives and friends at Seattle and at Pocatello, Ida., and were gueste of Mr. and Mrs. Blacketts' daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Sumsion at Elko, Nev. |
