Show By Marlene Haws 826-4859 Lee Liston came from the Salt Lake area to visit his brother Mark Liston. Mark has done a lot of work on his yards the past year. It looks good, Mark. Ben Porter was in town on Friday. Fri-day. He has had a knuckle replacement replace-ment and a funny looking apparatus connected to his index finger. I asked if he had had any birds trying to make a landing on it, but he said no, it was too painful for that. He has the days all counted until he can come back for the summer. He stopped in Richfield on his way down and visited his neighbor, Hyrum Coleman . After spending the day in Escalante, he went to Tropic to spend the night with Mate and Ruth Baugh. Donna Rae Barker brought her mother Mary Ellen Coleman home for an overnight stay, then they returned re-turned to Monroe where they can be near Hyrum while he is in therapy. Eldon, Angie and Mary Griffin went to Cedar City to visit Dr. Duke. Mandy Peterson was with them last week when they went to Richfield to meet her mother, Jolyn and have lunch together. Visiting at the home of Derrel and Nicolli Spencer were Nicolli's parents, Brian and Barbara Wittwer, Grantsville; Derrel's parents, Derrel and Renee Spencer, Mona; his sisters, sis-ters, Elaine Christiansen, Lehi and Jennifer Aagar, Sandy. They came for the baptism of the Spencer's eight-year-old son, Tyrell, on Saturday. Sat-urday. Many friends and relatives came for the testimonial and open house for Clorene Vidrine. To name a few (and I always feel bad when I miss someone)... the families of Marty and Debbie Vidrine, River-ton; River-ton; Greg and Rachel Vidrine, Mountain Green; Jerry and Annette Muse, Las Vegas, Nev.; Dick and Donnette Lee and Marian Foote, all of St. George. Friends Earl and Lola Henrie, Panguitch were also in attendance as was Bill Vidrine of St. George. Jim Alvey and son Jimmy came from Mapleton to do some work at the home of Fay Alvey. Clint Porter, Cedar City, spent the weekend here with his parents, Vergean and Carolyn Porter. Kent Cottam, St. George, was in town checking on his businesses here and visiting with his relatives. Jerry and Sherree Roundy and Betty Alvey went to Menden to attend at-tend the funeral services of their brother, Floyd Roundy. Jerry was one of the speakers in the service. Arnold and Deon Alvey received word of the passing of Ken Tucker, Morgan. Our condolences to Nedra, his wife, and their family. Nedra is a daughter of Albert and Jenny Haws Gledhill. Condolences also to the family of Carolyn Bowmar who passed away after a long battle with cancer. To sons Paul and Bruce and his family and to Jackie Novotny, who has been like a daughter to the Bowmars. Many friends and relatives attended at-tended a bridal shower for JaNae Jackson on Tuesday. It was hosted by her mother, Marilyn Jackson and Vickie Schulkoski. Jean Dutton, Ephraim, came to spend the weekend with her mother, Elda Haws. Louie and Janalee Bernardo spent a few days in Phoenix, Ariz, last week. They visited with Janalee's parents, Arden and MaeVonn Taylor, and Darrell and Diane Alvey. DeLane, Leah and Brenda Griffin are home from Mesa, Ariz. They have been visiting at the home of Jeff and Marilee Miller since Christmas.' And the weather right now isn't any better than it was at , Christmas time, folks. Maybe not as good! |
