Show Mamie Talbot 676-8084 The heavy snow and rain of the past week were most welcome. Green grass should follow soon. The strong south wind kept the big neighborhood crow almost in one place, flapping frantically, trying try-ing to fly into it. For a short while he was in the sky in one place as he tried to reach the top of a tall pine tree. Only by turning at a slight angle was he able to progress. For the past two weeks a good share of the folks in town have been on the road to and from the girls and boys basketball games. The girls came home state champions champi-ons and at this writing the boys are starting their battles. Best wishes and congratulations to players and coaches. In the Panguitch LDS 4th Ward sacrament meeting, the youth speaker was Jennifer Reynolds. Stake visitors were Doug Allen and Roger Westwood from the northern end of the stake. Evelyn Black, Di-anne Di-anne Fullmer and Jennifer Bremner sang a lovely song. The report was that the meeting was especially enjoyable. en-joyable. In the Panguitch LDS 2nd Ward interesting youth speakers were Michelle Mi-chelle Morgan and Shea Hatch. The well rehearsed choir sang a special spe-cial number. Stake visitors were Dyann Westwood of the LDS Stake Primary and Maloy Dodds of the Stake High Council. Jill McCul-lough McCul-lough was sustained as the Food Storage Specialist. We extend our love and sympathy sympa-thy to the family of dear friend Jane Westwood. She was a remarkable woman. The family of Mary Zane Davis have been here from up north to see her and their brother, Joe Bechthold. She has been staying here with Joe, who was very ill and passed away this week. Our condolences and (See PANGUITCH on page 3-A) PANGUITCH From Page 2-A love go to the family. After being here for a week, Toni and Sara Stowell went home to Oklahoma. It was a long drive but they arrived home safely. Caleb Stowell and the Sean Stowell family from Brigham Young University Uni-versity were here to visit Grandma Merle Stowell and mom Toni. Clark and Gwen Frandsen went1 to Henderson, Nev. to visit daughters daugh-ters Sherrie and husband, Robert Shupe and Barbara and Jim Duckett. While they were there they helped celebrate Barbara's birthday. They also attended sessions in the Las Vegas and St. George LDS Temples. Tem-ples. Rhoana Workman has had her kids, Mickey and Bryce Syndergard and friends from Ferron here over the weekend. Preston Nowers has been home with his family for a long five-day weekend for a lion hunt and to get come home cooking. Chaney Nowers went to St. George for three days to ride bulls. Gary and Sheree Leach and family went to Disneyland and visited with her grandpa Austin. Roger Nowers has been with wife, Jill while she had back surgery. Jill's co-workers at the local hospital say "Get well quick, Jill. We need you back at work." |
