Thcro was an Immense amount to bo cleared, and tho clerks could not get through with It sooner. A very sensational Incident occurred oc-curred In the senate during tho morning morn-ing session, Senator John W. Hart ot Fremont county expressing contempt for tho governor In a manner that astounded everybody. It came about over an nntl-pnss bill that had been reposing with the state affairs com-mltteo com-mltteo over since u similar bill from tho house hnd been defented In tho senate. Day moved that tho committee commit-tee be discharged from further consideration con-sideration of tho measure. Tho motion mo-tion was defeated by a voto of 8 to 10. Then Hart aroso with paBslon in his face and, taking tho bill from his pocket, tore It to pieces. Ho said: "Thoro Is tho bill, and there Is tho report on It. Thnt Is what I think of It. You may send a messenger to the man downstairs who has been trying to run this session nnd tell him what I think of him and his bill." There were no Important bills passed during tho closing day, though a number of minor mensures got through. The statement that the employers' em-ployers' llnblllty bill passed was an error.
