Show A Cook's Lucky Find-Golden Find-Golden Nugget Pie Golden Nugget Pie is a recipe to treasure and to use often, as wealth should always be used. It's such a delicious combination of favorite foods ground beef, cheese, and potatoes that the family is almost guaranteed to call for more. Ground beef is mixed with seasonings and cubes of American cheese, the "golden nugeeU." Evaporated milk, eggs, and bread crumbs add extra nourishment and texture to the meat loaf base. Accent brings out all the juiciness and good beef flavor. It also blends the flavors of beef, cheese, and spices, for a real "baked-in" taste. Golden Nugget Tie 2 teaspoons Ac'cent J4 teaspoon pepper 2 pounds ground beef j4 teaspoon thyme 1 cup evaporated milk Vi cup minced onion 2 cups soft bread crumbs 4 ounces process American 2 eggs cheese, cut in cubes 2 teaspoons salt 1 envelope instant mashed 2 teuspoons dry mustard potatoes Sprinkle Ac'cent over beef in mixing bowl. Add remaining in gradients except instant potatoes. Mix with fork until blended. Turn into a 10-inch pie plate or shallow baking dish. Bake in a moderate oven (350F.) 60 minutes. Remove from oven. Increase heat to hot (4M"K.). While meat is baking, prepare potatoes according ac-cording to package directions. Put through pastry tube in lattice design on top of meat Dot with butter. Return to oven and bake 10 minutes longer. Yield: 8 serviiurs. j |
