Aug 22. Eighteen lives ! were lost when the British cruiser ! Bedford ran ashore on tho Rocks of Quolpart Island, Korea, yesterday ac-I ac-I cording to a report received here by the admiralty. The men were members mem-bers of the engiue room staff.
