Show COMMISSIONERS M REGULAR SESSION Claim of Willard Scowcroft Not Considered a Legal One Attorney Advises That It Be Not Allowed Commissioner Bybee Slowly Recovering From Severe Injury. i Tbe Weber county commissioners held their regular weekly session today, to-day, Commissioner Bybee not b2ing able to attend. It is reported that Mr, Bybee is mending slowly In his affliction. It was discovered that there was a severe fracture of the skull at the base of tho brain and It Las required a great deal of time and constaut nursing to reduce tho fracture. He is Improving slowly, and it is anticipated that it will be some time before he will be able to I attend to business affairs. It will bo remembered that Mr. Bybee w-as Injured In-jured In an accident on south Washington Wash-ington avenue a few weeks ago In which he was thrown from his buggy to the pavement with great force. There was but little business be-foro be-foro the board today and it required but a short time to attend to It. A communication from County Attorney David Jensen to the effect that the claim of Willard Scowcroft for $330.30 damage?, alleged to have accruod to his automobile because of an alleged carelessness on tho part of the county solons in not keeping the roadway in proper repair, was not a legal claim against the county. The attorney f lecommended that the claim be not I allowed. Tho attorney's report was accepted and adopted. The claim was disallowed. The request of Treasurer Chambers for extra help in the office in th I'jeparlng of the second tax notices, was grauted The treasurer was authorized au-thorized to secure tho required help. |
