Trading wa9 heavy In tone at the start, but offerings offer-ings of stocks were very light and losses were confined to fractions ex- cept in Louisville and Nashville which lost a point. St. Paul. Reading, Union Un-ion Pacific and IT. S. Steel, as well, as other leaders were down from one-half one-half to three-fourths. Losses were increased the whole list. Professional operators sold freely free-ly on the absence of any concerted support and the whole list began to run off in a brisk manner. News developments were not sufficiently suf-ficiently Important to affect prices, but tho market nevertheless was depressed de-pressed from 1 to 2 points below lost week's closing with the selling of St. Paul.
