Show Graduates Quizzed On Training k Igli ScSioo! Scores c-f questionaires wer3 mailed out recently to Springville graduates of the classes of 1940. 1950 and 1952. and those who received re-ceived them are asked to fill them out and return as soon as possible, no later than February, 1954. As part of a statewide survey, the questionaries are expected to aid in determining the quality of .school training given in the past, and possibly point to ways for improving im-proving high school education in the future. The questionaries will endeaoi to determine what the end product of the state's high schools had been, analyzing the kind of adjustments ad-justments that have bee,n made by former students in the economic and social life of the communities in which they live. In other words to determine what high school training did to equip the individual to meet life. Since the study is being made on a statewide basis, it is believed that some valuable information will be gained if former students who receive the questionaries wil! cooperate and return them immediately. immed-iately. The questions asked are designed design-ed to have the former graduate evaluate the high schools with re-spest re-spest to curriculum, extra curric-ular curric-ular activities, courses taught and objectives set up fcr secondary schools of the state. It will be interesting to note the results of the questionaries and as the state department of public instruction in-struction has sought the aid of newspapers in publicizing the distribution dis-tribution of the questionaries, the reading public may lock forward to a report on the compilation of the answers in these same newspapers. |
