Show Springville School Board Election Scheduled Dec. I Polls at Art Building Will be Open ' 7 a.m., to 8 p.m.; Judges Named Springville voters will go to the polls next Wed., Dec. 2 to vote for a school board member for a five-year five-year term. Polling place will be the Art Building with polls open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. Candidates for the position of board member running on the bal-, . lot will be Jex Boyack, Leo A. Crandall, and Albert L. Thorpe. Every citizen in the Springville precinct who is registered may vote in the school board election. Judges of election have been named and include A. W. Cherring-ton, Cherring-ton, J. F. Wingate, and Mae Fin-le'y. Fin-le'y. Citizens of Springville are urged to exercise their right to vote in the school election. Vital problems concerning both the curriculum and the physical aspects of the school program need be met and the voice of the people in placing a candidate in this important position posi-tion should not be made by a few citizens at the polls. Three well-qualified well-qualified candidates are on the ballot bal-lot and should receive the consideration' consid-eration' of all registered voters. In the last election held in 1948, only 824 votes were cast in electing elect-ing a board member. In the past city election over 1900 votes were cast for the mayorality race. All citizens are urged to exercise their right to get out and vote. |
