Show Civilian Defense Talk Given At Club Meet A talk on Civilian Defense by Mrs. Harrison Conover, highlighted highlight-ed the program at the Home Culture Cul-ture club meting on Friday of last week, when the group met at the home of Mrs. Harris Lough-nan. Lough-nan. Mrs. Jack Lindsay was a guest. Mrs. Conover, UFWC civilian defense division chairman, explained ex-plained the dangers confronting the nation today and warned the club members to take precautionary precaution-ary measures and be prepared in case of an enemy attack. She explained ex-plained that C. D. is made up of 10 services and how each of the services operate. She also explained ex-plained the dangers to which this country might be exposed should the enemy strike. Mrs. W. R. Eddington read the club colect and Mrs. Jack Perhaim reported on the Legislative Council Coun-cil meting. Directed by Mrs. Earl Cook, president, a discussion of what coma De done to neip witn tne restoration res-toration of ' Constitution Hall at Philadelphia was held and gifts for the State Hospital were collected. At the close of the meeting, the hostess served lunch to 20 members and guests. |
